I learned about Toni when I collaborated with Perfect Planning Events on a styled shoot project for their mentoring program and I really loved the natural aesthetic makeup she did for the model and the lead planner. So when I needed my makeup done, I reached out to Toni. I have hired Toni’s services multiple times and every time she was on time, very professional and did such an amazing job I really didn’t want to remove the make-up, lol! I highly recommend her services.

Toni Fuqua, owner, and curator of Toni Fuqua Makeup Artistry is a luminary creative that inspires women to face the beauty within! As a Bowie State graduate having majored in accounting her attention to detail highlights her ability to execute the vision of her clients. Elements of Toni’s alluring poise is channeled through her edgy and flat out raw sense of style. As a true fashion pioneer Toni knows how to raise the bar of beauty in high tops and high heels! For over 8 years she has worked with women and men of all facets in many industries. While currently serving the Baltimore Maryland area, Toni has had work featured in The Washington Post Magazine, United with Love, Aisle Society as well as Zola Unveiled. Ideal clients reflect roles as Senior Executives, CEO’s, Brand Manager’s, Luxury Event Planners, Editors, Photographers and of course Brides! Why did you start your business and tell us your company’s core values?
Before I started doing makeup, I used to be a model. I loved beauty and fashion but I was most comfortable behind the camera versus in front of the camera. I just didn’t know where to start. One day on set, I asked the makeup artist doing my makeup (who is NOW my mentor) how she started and after that the rest is history eight years later. I still bask in that pivotal conversation. One good conversation can shift the direction of change forever. – Linda Lam

What advice would you give engaged couples currently planning their wedding? (Share 2 – 3 tips)
Tip #1: Schedule your bridal consultation on the same day as your Bridal Shower or pre-wedding event to get the wear of your makeup. We don’t want that beautiful look to go to waste!
Tip #2: One to two months before your wedding, CUT OUT SALT, DIARY, SUGAR AND BREAD FROM YOUR DIET. YOUR SKIN WILL THANK YOU!
